Ord Machining is a family owned business that has operated in Kununurra since 1993. Current owners Phil and Amanda McLean have owned the business since 2009 while Phil has worked in the business since 1996.
Phil and Amanda both have a rural background and understand the costs of downtime for our customers. The business focuses on helping customers to get their equipment up and running as soon as possible, particularly during critical periods such as harvests or shutdowns.
We provide manufacturing and repair services to a wide range of industries in the East Kimberley region, including mining, agriculture, construction, transport, marine and tourism. Our major clients have included Argyle Diamond Mine, Ordco, Ord Irrigation, Halls Creek Mining, Savannah Nickel and Ord valley farming operations.
Our services include supply, manufacture and repair of power transmission, material handling, processing and agricultural equipment. Our experience includes but is not limited to gearboxes, shafts, couplings, pulleys, sprockets, valves, pumps, bearings and seals.
We have a team of qualified machinists, fitters and welders with diverse trade skills and over 80 years of combined industry experience. Our machining team produce and utilise detailed drawings ensuring accuracy first time every time. Our team is available to offer labour hire and site support around the clock to best suit customer needs.
As our business continues to expand, we have recently acquired a CNC plasma cutter with the ability to cut between .5 to 25 mm in thickness. This enables a faster turnaround on jobs where components need to be manufactured or cut from a variety of materials.
Ord Machining are the sole CBC distributor in the East Kimberley and have a fully stocked parts supply available to our customers. We stock bearings, oil seals, chain, sprockets, belts, pulleys, O-rings, recoil kits, lubricants and cleaning products. Our significant inventory means we are often able to complete while you wait or same day repairs as there is no lag time waiting for parts to arrive. This minimises critical downtime periods. We are also able to offer alternatives to OEM replacement parts, providing customer savings.
